Our Name:
"Bushido" refers to the principles of the samurai of feudal Japan and is not only a code, but a way of life. It is a guiding set of principles and how we base our decisions in our breeding program and in our own lives.

A personal history of martial arts coupled with the traits of this breed is why we call our program Bushido.
The Boerboel is a dog known for its love and loyalty to its family. With a strong and muscular stature, it can be a reliable and loving companion as well as a determined force if needed. It has a sense of humor, intelligence, and requires attention, love, and proper care.
The Boerboel was bred in South Africa and is tough, adaptable, and versatile. It is happiest when with its owner and requires regular exercise and mental stimulation. Training is important for this breed, as they respond well to kindness and consistency.
The Boerboel is sensitive to its owner's needs and moods, and can be protective and defend its loved ones. It is a faithful and loyal companion, always there for its owner until the end.
